AMS Mission Statement

The mission of the Alcorn Middle School library program is to ensure our students are prepared to succeed by providing an information and literacy-rich environment that will allow our students to become effective users of ideas and information. The school librarian collaborates with teachers to empower our students to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, independent readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information.
